Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(August 2nd, 2008)
MEETING OPENED:
Meeting called to order at 5:15 pm by Brandon Warren, President of the Northwest GTO Legends Club, at the Bison Creek in Burien, WA.
GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
Don Epperson who owns a 1964 Saddle Bronze GTO was introduced as a new member.
SECRETARIES REPORT:
Wally Santella gave the June 08 Secretaries Report. Last month’s minutes were summarized, and details posted on the Club’s web site.
TREASURES REPORT:
Mike Santella gave Treasures Report, announcing a Beginning Balance of $5,677.44 and an Ending Balance of $6,090.53.
CAR TALK SESSION:
(1) Gary Major talked to the membership about a new, less expensive additive called ZDD+. It cost less then EOS at $10/bottle and works just as well. Gary recommends adding one bottle at every oil change.
(2) Mike Buzard talked about some suspension work that he did on his 04 and on Tom Palermo’s 04. They install new strut bearings.
OLD BUSINESS:
- MUSCLE CAR MEET: Mike Santella talked to the membership about having gained acceptance from a number of car clubs in Washington State. Mike also listed a number of sponsors that he secured support for this years show. Mike described the two restored King County police cars, and the City of Seattle and City of Sumner cars as well. Mike also talked about the 68 DARE GTO, which will attend this years show and the General Lee replica that will also enter.
NEW BUSINESS:
- Brent West provided event flyers for the Western Washington Firebirds 8th Annual All Pontiac Show & Shine, which will be held on Sunday, August 17th.
- Mike Rassmussen has sold his Bizon Creek business. Mike Santella will talk to the new owners of Bizon Creek about continuing to allow us to meet there.
50/50 Raffle: No 50-50 raffle was held.
MEETING ADJORNED:
Meeting was adjourned at 6:00 PM, by Brandon Warren. Next meeting will be held at either the Bison Creek in Burien, or if we can’t, then will secure another location and post information on the Web for our Saturday, September 6th, at 5:00 PM date.
