Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(November 1st , 2008)
MEETING OPENED:
Meeting called to order at 5:05 pm by Brandon Warren, President of the Northwest GTO Legends Club, at the Great American Casino in Tukwila, WA.
GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
We had three new guests, which included:
(1) Nathan & Ali Hutchinson, who have a 2004 black GTO with red interior.
(2) Don & Karen McLaughin, who own a 2006 GTO
(3) Mike & Julia Wiley, who own a 1967 GTO
SECRETARIES REPORT:
Wally Santella gave the September 08 Secretaries Report. Last month’s minutes were summarized, and details posted on the Club’s web site.
TREASURES REPORT:
Mike Santella gave Treasures Report, announcing a Beginning Balance of $7,564.32 and an Ending Balance of $7,595.32.
CAR TALK SESSION:
(1) John Pearson talked about something, but I did not get it into my notes.
OLD BUSINESS:
- CLUB DUES RENEWAL – Wally Santella reminded the membership about our implementation of the Dual-Club-Membership policy that is in effect now. Members of our club will automatically also be members of the National GTOAA, so we are collecting dues for 2009 from now until December 6th. Total dues are $45/year.
- ANNUAL XMAS PARTY – In Mike Santella’s absence, Wally Santella updated the membership on the status of our latest plans for the December 6th and 7th activities/plans:
December 6th
(1) 10:00am to 12:45pm - Griots Tech Talk Session with Jim Wangers and Griot’s personnel and a hosted lunch.
(2) 5:00pm to 8:30pm – December Club meeting (at the Great American Casino), which includes Officer Elections, Xmas Banquet Dinner (Prime Rib & Grilled Chicken), Club Awards (both serious and funny, with Lonnie Santella MC’ing), and Goofy Xmas Gift Exchange.
December 7th
(3) 10:00am to 3:30pm – Lemay Car Collection Tour. We will all meet at the Lemay Marymount Academy and splint into two groups. One group will view the cars at Marymount, the other group will be bused to the Lemay House to view the cars stored there. We will have a pizza lunch at 12:30 and flip the groups and complete the tour at 3:30pm and take every one back to the parking lot at Marymount. $32/person
- SPECIAL EDITION OF CLUB NEWSLETTER - John Bozony will publish a special edition of the Club Newsletter and Brandon Warren will mail it out the week of November 17th, with dates/times/events/driving directions/map to all of the events on Dec 6th and 7th.
NEW BUSINESS:
- 2009 OFFICER NOMINATIONS: Nominations for the clubs officers for 2009 were taken and following people were nominated:
President: Brandon Warren, Lara Major, & Mike Santella
Vice President: Mitch Bleitz and Mike Buzard
Treasurer: Mike Santella and Judy Booth
Secretary: Wally Santella
Additional nominees will be taken at the December 6th Club meeting.
50/50 Raffle: No 50/50 raffle was held.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:00 PM, by Brandon Warren. Next meeting will be held at the Great American Casino in Tukwila, on December 6th, at 5:00 PM.
