OK now that we are reminiscing, here are some vintage ads from my collection. You see in the '80's I was a one GTO guy at 16 and if I couldn't own more, I wanted to collect every one I saw for sale. Boy would it be nice to go back and snag some of these gems.
Looks like a pretty good deal for a 4 spd. '64 w 85,000 miles!

This thing's got '80's written all over it. I think I need a little more air in those shocks!!

I think this is Glennie's first GTO racer. Nice jacket, and trophy to boot!

O.K. Jim Bozony, I know it's not a 4 speed, but that's a lot of M*@#$! F@$#&*! car for $3350. I bet he'd take less if you asked nicely.

After seeing all of those ads, all that I can hear is Bruce Springsteen singing "Glory Days". :'(

These ads are insane!
I wish I had $20k & a flying Delorean for one day, I'd go back to the early 80's & get a bunch of awesome GTOs!
Remember these prices went up from the 70's! :o
The thread is totally cool Brad, but at the same time it's pure torture!
I find it painfull to read! ;)

I called all the phone numbers, one guy still had the GTO, price changed a little, I told him that the car's much older now so I gave him 1/2 price, he took it 8) Then I woke up. ::)
Nice reading, reminds me when I bought my plum mist convertible for $1200 from Marc Neary about the same time these ads were running.

Like a lot of you, I wish I had my first too... Red/black w/blk vinyl top, 389 4bbl (ok, so not a tri...) 2spd ... It was only $650 and I talk the guy down to $600 because the radio didn't work. Sold it for less too... Memories like that make you want to cry... * :'(
