I'll get this party started... Just a reminder to everyone - members and non-members alike - keep your calendars open for Saturday, July 26th, for a cruz around scenic Mt. Rainier. It's the Northwest GTO Legends 2nd Annual Rainier Run. The event kicks off at 9:00 AM in Enumclaw. Since I don't yet have a flyer, I'll let the next guy fill in the blanks about where we're all meeting.
Who's up? ;D

I will have our digital camcorder and a couple gallons of bleach with me.... If anyone would like to do a nice burn out and have it on computer let me know... We'll figure where we can do it during the run... Might make some nice video to send to your friends!!! ;D

Ya, what he said! If I'm feeling rich that weekend, I'll bring the Lemans and drop some rubber along the way. ;)

"fart-piped econoboxes" hahaha Thats funny! ;D
Im new at burn outs so I didnt know! Im still a rookie. I thought the bleach would save the tires a little and make more smoke... I want new tires anyway, so either way I need to leave some tread on the Mountain... :o

Was a great success and fun was had by all, even Bruce and his fuel lines ::)
Here's a pic of the cars at Orting. I have several pics of cars at Tipsoo, Lonnie, should I just send them all to you? Let you put them into the picture section?

I have several pics of cars that came to Tipsoo like this one of Dave's '65.
Look for more in the picture section later.

Are you referring to the "Gallery" Al? Better give me the originals on CD so I can format them as necessary. You will have full editorial license with all the captions.

OK Lonnie, What we can do is get together (Bob B, Brian, and I and anyone else with digital pics) compose a CD of all photo's taken and get to you. hmmmm, maybe even make them available to others that want the real pics in full format.
If that doesn't happen, for sure I will have a CD of mine available at the next meeting, I can't be there but I'll get the CD there somehow.
Another fine car at Tipsoo,

Dave, I'm sure you've got a lot of cool pix of your car, but I think this shot is awsome!

Hey everyone.
I put my gecko to work today, you know the one, the one that won me a free flight from one of our sponsors "Galvin Flying School". I took my flight over Seattle and around Snoqualmie Falls. The instructor let me pilot the plane and it was a blast.
Our conversation went back and forth from GTOs and flying. They will be sponsoring the Rainier Run again next year and may even be at one of the check points with us. Also, they said that no one has sent in their 2nd chance to win a free flight so you all better get it out and mail it off or I'm going to get another flight ;) because mine's going to be mailed tomorrow. Also, since I drove my car up there (it was the conversation piece of the day up there) and I even let my flight instructor Jim drive it (ride for a ride type thing) and Rick, the guy that set all this up came for a ride too. Hey, Rick says anyone in the club that brings their car up will get 10% off a flight, just mention his name.
They love GTO's as much as they love flying so it turned out to be a real fun day for all. I'm ready to go back up again. Would even love to learn to fly, but to do that, I'd have to sell one of the convertibles. uhmmm tough choice huh.
Don't forget, sent in those 2nd chance chances to win the introductory flight. And remember to welcome them back as sponsors to next years Rainier Run.

I think I'll stick to flying from behind the keyboard... It hurts less if you crash. ;D
