Does anyone know if the food vendor has been lined up for the meet, haven't been able to go to meetings to find out the scoop. Also what about staff to man the show who is stepping up to help. I know Mike S. has been planning a good portion of this, but he can't do it all. :o It's OUR own big club event of the summer, all helpis appreciated. What is going on with the meet? Need status...........

I am finishing the artwork for the dash plaque and awards portion of the program. I have contacted Ron at Rosemont awards and we're almost ready to go. Just need the details about sponsors to add. I will get with JP and put the regisration packets together also. I usually add a ballot, and a no-burnout rule sheet JP made up years ago. Not sure if door prizes were discussed at meeting either. We usually spring $200 or so for some cool stuff to give out with raffle, registration tickets. I plan on being there to help out with whatever, entrance fee collection, counting ballots, etc. ;)

Close is going to be a relative term for a hotel. There are many hotels north of the show site. 5-10 miles away. Not sure of anything closer. Although, there probably is. This is probably a good time to consider doing something on sunday for those people that stay the night. Sort of like a two day event, since the show's on saturday now. Too late for this year, but maybe next year? How about the Musclecar meet on sat and the Musclecar Meet drags at Pacific on sunday? That would rock.

Also, I'm bringing the PA again this year. So, if you have any music that you think would fit the bill, please bring it. I will bring enough but it's always good to have options. Please remember that this is a Musclecar Meet. ;)

Does Iron Butterfly qualify as appropriate music? ;D ;D

No burnout rule? What does that mean? Is it no smoking, no drinking, no staying up late the night before?

Does Iron Butterfly qualify as appropriate music? ;D ;D

Sure. Do you want to hear the 25 minute version of "Inna-gadda-da-vida" or something else? Somepeople may want to kill me if I do play that version though.

Maybe not John... It'll give time for a "restroom break", that way they won't miss the rest of the show... :o

Hey Yvonne, try Puyallup Wa. for a room. There should be the usual motels there, and it's only about 10 min north of the meet (right on Meridian). If you don't have any luck, drop me a line and I'll get you some #'s.

There is a Holiday Inn Just off 512 on South Hill.

Take the first exit, go Left at the light. Right at the next light (chevron & mcdonalds) it is about 150 yards up the hill. Denny's is next door. It is an upscale Denny's as it used to be a Mitzel's. There is another one too but won't be able to tell you about it until I get home. There are also a non chain type at the 3rd Puyallup exit at the bottom of the hill across 512 from the fairgrounds.

I will be home this weekend also. Hope to see some of you there. I live just off Meredian at 144th (Amphetheater) intersection.

It is actually a Graham address. However, it is on Meredian (which is 161) between Puyallup and Graham. It is about 3 miles on the right south past 176th where Fred Meyer/McDonalds/Wendy's/Chevron is. On the map 176th connects Meredian with SR 7 in Spanaway (South Tacoma). It is also known as Frontier Park and is across from 216th. Pretty easy to find.

See following link for map. See you there.

I just noticed that the first post on this thread stated that the Musclecar Meet is Sept. 17th....That's a Wednesday....Naa-Gaana-Doo-It.

Actually in checking with the flyer, it is indeed September 20th, a Saturday.

Here is a link to the Frontier Park website. If you click schedule of events you can scroll down to see our event listed. It's listed wrong. I called them and verified that they do have us down for the 20th, not the 21st. Also click directions for the same...

Hey Jim, great looking car, really a cool back drop. I remember a guy having a blue Boss back when I was growing up, as I recall, nobody messed with him on the streets. Of course that was before I knew the real deal was a Pontiac GTO...... (you knew that was coming didn't ya?) . Glad you had a good time at the meet, hope to see you and your car again.

Again...thankyou...was a great summer this year wasn't it? Born in Seattle in 1951...cant recall a better summer weather wise. Picked up this BOSS 302 in february, and bought it as she looks. Since the last car show of the year up where i live near Snohomish, i have since added new ceramic headers, and an 11 inch centerforce clutch. Detailed the undercarriage to near concours condition. Got a few more minor details to do, than i'm done and ready for the show circuit next year.

I had a good friend who owned a burgendy 67 GTO with a 396 who used to race at SIR in brackets. Warren Carver. He helped me re-build my 1st BOSS 302 (yellow) and i wish he were alive today to see my new ride.

Sure enjoyed seeing all those goats at the show. Great memories.

That picture of my car was taken at the front entrance of the Tulalip Casino up here near Marysville.

TAKE CARE...HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY GUYS..AND GALS!!

LATER.....JIM
