Just got home from detailing the car after the garage session. Lot's of fun! Thanks to Denny for hosting it and making it a really good time. I got my new front fascia on, side marker lights and Monaro badging. I will post pictures from the event as soon as they finish uploading.

Now for some shots of my car. As you all know, I am in the process of doing a Monaro conversion. I am putting the car as close to it's origin as possible in America (no right hand drive, sorry). I have installed the Monaro VZ Coupe front fascia, badging and have the hood in paint right now. The rear bumper with split exhaust and the Monaro brakes will go on in a few weeks when they get back from powder coat.
I won't post the pics from the garage session because my car was FILTHY! So, I washed it real quick after the session was over and took these pictures. I hope you like them!

Some highlights of the day:
Someone bringing a Mudstain to a NW GTO Legends garage session.
A LeMans firing a shotgun at JP.

Thanks for all the help with my LeMans. I didn't plan on replacing the ignition module and coil when I left in the morning, but then I guess you never do. We'll have to see what I can come up with next time. Maybe my clutch will go out on the way. That would be a little more challenging.

Very helpful to me as part of the 'Pontiac brain trust' that diagnosed the engine hestitation problem that I have been having.

It's always an enjoyable event. Glad I could make it again this year. What are we going to do when SASCO is no longer available to us????

I have got some buildings off SR 167 - across from Branks BBQ - in north Sumner I can offer up for future Car Clincs. May get some of the southend guys involved. Big buildings, with lots of straight, flat stretches of asphalt to test tire adhension!!

Do I hear a motion for a pre Muscle Car Show detail and tune day at Teds? :D
Maybe the weekend before the show?

Hey, nothing like a road trip to blow out the cobwebs. I'm in, just post a map a time and date. If I haven't gotten round to polishing up the rest of the 65' from Griot's this will be as good a time as any to "get er done".
As usual mother nature wasn't her best on Saturday but we got a number of cars in and acheived some goals - that's what this is all about. Thanks to all that were able to make it - JP, Mike, Wally, Brandon, Milt, Pat,Tom, Bob, John, Jim, Robert, Chuck, (and Nash?), Ted, Steve, Eric, Don, Mark, Dave, Pete, and Bill. Hope I didn't forget anyone.
Can't leave without saying thanks to Tom Hansen of SASCO, a car guy that comes by every year to help do the cooking and admire the cars.
Some of you know I'm looking at retiring or at least relocating to Arizona next year some time (no dates have been set) so there's still the potential of hosting another event. Then again, it might be time to turn this over to someone else.
Thanks to all of those folks that showed up for moral support, technical support or just to chow down. I think we all agree the burgers are better than the dogs. Happy motoring.....

Looks like it was a good time, I couldn't make it obviously.
What the HELL with the mustang?
And then the mustang project involves
that big tacky mustang decal
