OLD BUSINESS:
- NEW CLUB APPAREL – Mike Santella explained to the membership that the instructions that were provided in the Club News Letter indicated the wrong Club P.O. Box number so people were not able to return their new club apparel choices, so the tally was not completed. We will try the apparel tally again this month, with the correct P.O. Box number and give the results to Brad Barrie and make a final decision on what apparel to make up for sale.
- SPRING CAR CLINIC – Mike Santella and Denny Deal reminded the membership about the time and date for this year’s Spring Car Clinic (at the SASCO Warehouse) and urged everyone to be sure and attend.
- CLUB REPRESENTATIVE AT THIS YEARS NATIONAL GTOAA EVENT – Mike Santella talked about the need for our NW GTO Legends Club to be represented at this year’s National GTOAA event. Mike gave out cost information for staying at the Hampton Inn with room costs of $99/night and the Hawthorn Inn for $89/night along with GTOAA’s registration cost of $49. Each of the officers were polled to see if any would want to go and none were interested. Steve Martin then volunteered to attend and pay all of his own costs. The Club elected to at least pay for his registration fee.
- CLUB WEBSITE POSTING PROBLEMS – Eric Bratt and Don McLaughlin complained about not being able to post messages on the Club Web Site. They will need to be processed by Lonnie Santella, the Club’s Webmaster before they will be able to do this. Lonnie will be notified so that he can make the necessary corrections.
NEW BUSINESS:
- RICHARD AND PAMELA ANDERSON - Mike Santella updated the membership about the fact that Richard and Pamela Anderson’s 70 Judge RA III was being featured in the May/June Pontiac Enthusiast and that Steve Martin’s 69 GTO Ram Air III was being featured in June’s Pontiac High Performance magazine
- CAR CORRAL EVENT – Mike Buzard addressed the membership and talked about this year’s Car Corral Event. Mike explained that it’s a 3 day event, show on Friday, practice on Saturday and racing on Sunday. Single day would cost $25 and all 3 days would cost $45. Later, Mike made a motion to the membership that the club pay, up to $250 dollars, to cover the cost of up to 10 member cars for one day of the event. The motion passed.
- LAST YEAR’S NW MUSCLE CAR MEET COVERAGE – Mike Santella updated the membership on Mark Bilyeu’s ongoing efforts to produce DVD copies of Lance Lambert’s coverage of last year’s NW Muscle Car Meet. Mark should have copies ready by our next meeting for distribution to interested members.
- CLUB LICENSE PLATES – John Bozony showed the membership the results of a special project that he as been working on to produce show quality Northwest GTO Legends license plates. John made one with a white background and one with a black background and sold a number of sets to the members at $10/each.
- NW GTO LEGENDS GOLF TOURNAMENT – Mitch Bleitz suggested that the Club have a golf tournament for any members who would be interested. Mitch took a show of hands and came up with 2 to 3 foursomes. Mitch would like to have the tournament at Foster Golf Coarse in September, just prior to the September 5th Club Meeting. Wally Santella volunteered to make some arrangements with the Foster Golf Coarse, since he is a member there.
