Just a few photos from Tiger Run 2009. The best Tiger Run weather we've had in a long time. Be sure to make your reservations for 2010 - it will be the 20th event and it's gonna be big, with the official start day of Thursday instead of Friday.

Here are a few of mine. I got around to looking at my shots and I had messed up something in the settings and half the pics were no good. Dang technology!
Oh well, here are a couple that did turn out.

And you can see from the 8.52 1/8th mile dial in time that it could scoot down the track too! Not your granny's wagon that is for sure. Talk about a sleeper!

Glad to see you guys all had good weather down there for a change. My first Tiger Run had great weather, the next two were pretty bad. Welcome back sunshine.

After a weekend of driving, and i mean real driving, time for a new clutch, happy it got me home without a trailor. I'll get a link to the bucket for our pics after I get that clutch... Thanks for the chase

It was a blast! BTW, I don't know what you're planning for your new clutch, but with your power level I would recommend a dual plate setup. Something rated 1000hp or better. They cost more, but will hold your power much better.

FYI--My 64 wagon ran a 7.71 and a 7.72 before the track went away. I couldn't launch without hitting the rev limiter about 10' off the starting line. The mph remainned cnstant at 88.--, showing that the horsepower was there. The track was not prepped at all and it made for a bad day.
But most people had a hard time trying to figure out their dial. The above passes convert approximately to a 12. 12 1/4 mile pass. The wagon should run in the high 11s.
But Ass Bandit Racing did make some passes until some track officials told me to remove "Ass". Evidently there were complaints from some of the fans. The track officials assured me they had no problems.

Whooa!
Even though I woke up Friday morning in Colorado, I picked up the family in Seattle and got to Eaglecrest at 1:45 am Saturday morning!
I was up at 7am putting The Judge in the show.
What a great weekend with stellar weather!
The Saturday show was excellent, the awards banquet was great as always, and the weather allowed for a great day at the track, considering rain in years past.
As always I was able to meet new friends and get updates from all the usual suspects.
We would have liked to see a better turnout from The NW GTO Legends - plan for next year!
The 2010 Tiger Run will be the 20th anniversary and a HUGE event!
The Goat Herd is saying 4 days of Pontiac madness!
Plan now - we want to see a huge attendance from DA LEGENDS.
Thanks to THE HERD for putting on another great weekend & congrats to all NW GTO Legends who placed at the awards - I think it was darn near everyone who entered the show!

How did our club members do? Trophy's..Awards?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think I was the only club member present who didn't win an award. My car was in a class of 4, and it has many battle scars from the race track. But that's OK with me. I go mainly for the company and the drive.
Great pics and links to racing action, thanks for posting for us that were unable to attend.
In post #2, is that the newly unveiled Ponsteen wagon ?
Looks like a beauty to me, I like that color too. :)
I figured it would lay down much better ETs in the 1/8 mile though as I thought it was a trailered race car :D

Everyone was slow compared to their times on our normal tracks. 4000' altitude and 120* track temp will do that. ;)

Yes, I know about the altitude at Madras. I know about the altitude "up on the hill" too ;)
Looks like it was a fun day !

Next to watching Jim "Old Man" Taylor and the GeeTO Tiger, along with the dynamic duo of Stefan and Guyle, I got a kick out of watching Tyler race his 69 Trans Am like his goal was to break it.
He beat the he!! out of it all day, gave rides, came 3 inches from the guard rail at half track, but still refused to lift.
Good day guys...

Yep, for ALL the miles and miles of rubber laid down by Thor, he does know
about the altitude at Bend. LOL............
Great pictures and videos. Don't know who did them but they sure looked good. Thank you.
