Hello,
I need to remove the iginition switch on a 1968 Firebird. It looks like it needs a special wrench to get it off, but not sure.
Anyone know how to remove the switch? I have been unable to find any sites that describe the process.
Thanks
Jay

If it is on the dash, get a paperclip and insert one end into the small hole on the front of the lock cylinder. Depress the paper clip as you turn the key toward acc. Pull out the lock cylinder and then the bezel will unscrew from the switch housing.
If it is in the steering column then it is located down the column next to the brake pedal arm. There are 2 5/16 head screws that hold it onto the column. Hope this helps.
