August club meeting / MCM planning

This Saturday is the August club meeting day. At this meeting, we will be making final plans for next Sunday's Muscle Car Meet. We will be organizing volunteers for help in all areas of the meet, going over last details and stuffing goodie bags as well. If you can't attend the club meeting this Saturday, but plan to attend the Muscle Car Meet and can help, let me know.

Parking for MCM - if you want your choice of the best spots I suggest you get there early. I have typically arrived at Triple X by 7 AM and there are already 10 - 20 cars there. This year I plan to be there by 6, but I'll bet I won't be the first.

Hope to see you all there for our club's largest function of the year!!!

Mike - I could not attend the August meeting - out of town, but I will help again for the event. Pat Chrisman has some of my construction candles that were used for the picnic. I think he has 8. Pat could you bring those to the meet? If we need more, I can get them, just let me know.

I brought the candles back from the picnic so they wouldn't get Pat's back seat dirty (they wouldn't fit in the trunk). I took them to Wally's house for safe keeping until you got back from TX. Mike S or I can transport them to MCM for that show if needed.

I just wanted to let you know that I won't be attending the MCM this year.....I'm bummed. I was in a pretty bad car accident in March, not any serious life threatening stuff....but I got pretty banged up....then on top of that I am dealing with some major kidney stone issues (soon to be resolved)....but I had arm surgery due to the accident on the 8th of July,( I did get my goat out about 3 times before my surgery....and it killed my arm to shift) and I'm in a hard brace (yep.....my right arm, and yes....I'm right handed....I have to type this message with my left hand......so I apologize for any typo's. So, with the accident, it's caused my back and neck to go out of whack, so I can hardly sit in one position, let alone do any standing without taking prescription meds.....that make me a wee bit loopy. So with that.....I just wanted to let y'all know I won't be making it....but I wish you the very best show of all time.............

Ouch, Rick, I'm really sorry to hear about that. Hope recovery is quick. I know that old guys take longer.... (hee hee hee), but I'm sure you will be the exception. Glad to hear the accident was not in the goat. Never heard of air bags back then.

I got home from Canada at about 4, got the car cleaned up (just got home) and have the trunk packed with detailing supplies if anyone needs some clean up at the show. I am bringing some ONR waterless wash just in case someone needs it. I will be at XXX at 5:30am with my coffee and a baseball bat.

Oh, and Mike, I brought you some of the VRP tire gel we talked about.
