OLD BUSINESS:

There were 33 cars, the weather was good, and the park facility in Leavenworth was more then adequate. During Pat’s report, there were discussions about joining the POCI Cruz to Port Townsend.

- DES MONIES MARINA SATURDAY NIGHT CRUZE-IN – Mike Santella once again brought up the subject of a Saturday evening Cruz-In at the Des Moines Marina. Mike urged the membership to activity participate and help get this promising Cruze-In location established and suggested that it has the potential to grow over time.

- THIS YEAR’S NORTHWEST MUSCLE CAR MEET – Mike Santella recapped his plans for this year’s Muscle Care Meet. Mike talked about his effort to get the word out all of the other car clubs in the area. Mike spoke to their club officers about this years event. Mike updated the membership on his successful effort to get one of the recently restored Hydro Planes (Miss Yahoo) to be brought to the show and displayed with our cars. John Pearson reminded our membership that we have a policy that our member cars can only win one award. Mike says we plan to open the front gate at 7:00am and each car entered will have to pay an entry fee of $15.

NEW BUSINESS:

- JUDY BOOTH BARBEQUE – Judy invited all of the membership to attend a barbeque which will held at her house on August 22nd, at 3:00pm. Judy says there will be hotdogs, hamburgers, and everyone attending should bring a side dish to share with the others.

- 2009 NATIONALS – Steve Martin talked about his experiences at this year’s Pontiac GTO Nationals, which was held in the quaint town of Dayton, Ohio. Steve mentioned that there were a lot of historical sites to see, over 1600 cars, which made it the largest showing to-date and the weather was hot. Steve reported that the Grand Prix Club and POCI Club hosted this event and worked for almost a year to prepare for it. Steve was amazed that there were 22 1966 Pontiac 2+2’s. Steve reminded the membership that the 2011 Nationals will be held in Portland, OR in July. Steve also commented on the fact that there were a lot of unusual and rare cars at this show. His report ended with a discussion about the 2011 Nationals and how we should make the effort to help support the event in Portland, so that it will be a success and this would encourage the leaders of this annual gathering to consider another show on the West Coast in the near future.

- 9th ANNUAL ALL PONTIAC SHOW & SHINE – Brent West urged the membership to attend this year’s All Pontiac Show & Shine on August 16th, at the Country Village Shops in Bothell. Entry fee will be $15.
