Ass Bandit Racing 64 Wagon wins Fri Night

The 64 Tenpest wagon won the Pro class at the Fri night Street Legals at Renegade Raceways, May 14, 2010. The wagon was dialed in at 11.58 and ran a 11.581 for the win. The wagon does not have a roll bar so we have tried to slow it down and keeping the air cleaner on seems to help. It will run deep in the 11.40s without an air cleaner.

Considering the wagon weighs 4025lbs and is running a 428 it is putting lots of horsepower to the rear wheels. The SD Perf Edelbrock heads and port matched torker ll intake work very well. It is consistently running 1.50s in the 60'.

New set up is running well.
Bittersweet news last week, when installing extended wheelstuds I discovered I twisted the splines on my stock axles.
I have new Moser axles coming this week so it should be ready.

The track announcer definitely refers to the wagon as one of the Ass
Bandit Racing cars. I have three race cars, the wagon, a 73 Ventura that will run in the mid 10s, and a 79 Malibu wagon that should run high 10s. Both will be wheels up on the launch. The Ventura is Pontiac powered, SD E-hd package w/a big roller cam, the Malibu has a stroker sbc DG Machine motor. Thats what makes up the Ass Bandit Racing stable.

At this track if you ave a nick name the track annoncer is gonna blast it over the pa system. One of the racers is the Flying Turd. Can you handle that.

I try and steer clear of flying turds, so I personally am unable and unwilling to handle this or others like it
