Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(July 10th, 2010)


MEETING OPENED:
Meeting called to order at 12:00 pm by Michael Santella our President, which was held at the Mud Mountain Dam, in Enumclaw, WA.

GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
Jim Braden, a former class mate of Wally Santella, Class of 1960, Highline H.S., joined our club as a new member. Jim has a 1965 GTO, which he has been restoring for some time, and which is almost complete.

Mike made special notice of the Western Washington Firebird Club, the Puget
Sound POCI and our newest Pontiac friends in the Pontiac G8 Club who all had
members present at the 2nd Annual Pontiac Picnic in the Park. 45 cars made
the journey. This represents a 68% increase in attendance over the previous
year.

SECRETARIES REPORT:
Wally Santella provided July’s 2010 Secretaries Report. June’s Club Meeting minutes were read to the membership and posted to the Club’s Website.

TREASURES REPORT:
Mike Santella read this month's treasurer's report.
Beginning balance on June 5th was $1971.93
Deposits for June - two 50/50 raffles for $206
Muscle Car Meet sponsorship payments of $675

Withdrawals for June - $26.25 for GTOAA new member dues
Ralley Productions $209.95 for dash plaques for Pontiac Picnic in the Park
Ending Balance July 10th $2616.73


CLUB CORRESPONDENCE:
No Club Correspondence for this month.

GUEST SPEAKERS OF THE MONTH:
There was not Guest Speaker this month.


OLD BUSINESS:

- 2010 VINTAGE VEHICAL RACES – A collaboration of Mike Santella, Brandon Warren and Stefan Fafnis recapped the experience of driving the parade laps at this year's Vintage Vehicle Races. Bob Butkowski is just glad to be alive and have his car intact after the experience.

- 2010 GREENWOOD CAR SHOW – Mike Santella recapped the club's participation in this year's Greenwood Car show. Over 900 cars turned out for the show this year, making it the largest Greenwood Car Show ever. Brian Canfield and the Greenwood Knights awarded the Northwest Legends the Director's Choice award for club
participation. Denny Deal accepted the award on behalf of the 15 club
members and one lone wolf gorgeous '67 custom GTO that made the trip.

NEW BUSINESS:

- THIS YEARS MUSCLE CAR MEET – Mike Santella updated the club on this year's Northwest Muscle Car Meet. Once again, through Denny Deal and Mike's efforts, all 33 awards have been sponsored by local businesses.

- BOP CRUISE & PICNIC – Sig Larson of the Puget Sound POCI invited the Legends to participate in a BOP cruise and picnic to be held August 1st (tomorrow) at Rooster Rock State Park in Corbett, Oregon, near Portland. The cruise is sponsored by the
Oregon Chapters of the POCI, the Buick Club of America and the Oldsmobile
Club of America> The cruise will start at 8:00 AM at Hawks Prairie in Lacey
and finish at the park at around noon.

- MOTION TO HOLD NEXT MONTH’S MEETING - A motion was passed to hold next month’s meeting on July 31st, at 5:00 pm, at the Triple XXX Drive In, in Issaquah.

SHOP TALK:
- Under shop talk, Brent West shared with the membership his plans to swap
motors in his '68 LeMans. The current motor will be available to purchase
once the swap is complete. See Brent if interested.

50/50 Raffle – No 50/50 Raffle was held.

MEETING ADJORNED:
The club’s Business Meeting was adjourned at 1:00 PM, by Michael Santella. Our next meeting will be held at the XXX Drive In, in Issaquah, WA, at 5:00pm, on July 31st.
