GUEST SPEAKER OF THE MONTH:
Sig Larson was introduced as our Guest Speaker of the Month and he talked to the membership about ways to help support the LeMay Museum effort:
- His club members currently volunteer at the Marymount Academy. Sig explained that part of the original Lemay collection of cars will be kept by the Family and will belong to the Doug LeMay Marymount Collection Memorial and will be stored at their house facility and the Marymount Academy.
- The new LeMay - America’s Car Museum will be a collection of cars for the public to view. They will actively display 250 cars at a time, which will be rotated by some schedule. They will have a Club Corral where clubs can show off their cars. These are car clubs that are members of the LeMay – America’s Car Museum.
- Now, the car clubs will have the option of belonging to either the Marymount Academy or the LeMay – America’s Car Museum.

OLD BUSINESS:

- POTENTIAL WAYS OUR CLUB CAN SUPPORT THE LEMAY MUSEUM – Mike Santella continued the LeMay America’s Car Museum discussion by explaining some specific ways that our Club can support this effort:
(1) Buy a 4”x8” Tile with our Club name for $100
(2) Buy an 8”x8” Tile with our Club info for $250
(3) Buy a 12”x12” Title with our Club info for $500. With this purchase, we also get member privileges that will allow 2 members to be able to attend the Museum anytime during the year. By a show of hands, the membership indicated that they want to support the Museum and they agreed to take up a donation at each meeting for at least 3 months. Tonight we collected $82.00 towards this effort.

- BOP (BUICK/OLDS/PONTIAC) CRUZ RECAP – Stephen Fafnis gave a recap to the membership of this year’s event. All of our Club members who participated went out during the first run except Cameron Kennedy who lasted for 3 runs. Chuck and Ann Beistline again provided a very well received Burrito Feed at their house. Stephen also relayed that someone lost their hood during the competition and that the attendance at this year’s event was on the light side.
