Doing a re-paint on my ragtop, found some rust along the front windshield pillar area any suggestions on fixing this area?

Short of replacement, I wonder if this would be a good candidate for blasting and "Spray Deposition". I've only read about this technology but have never heard of anyone in the local area that does it.
I know this is also refered to as ....well another name that I cant think of. All the searches I do on "Spray deposition" link me to universities doing testing/research on the process.

Sounds like you're referring to "flame spraying". This procedure requires machining afterward to return the metal object to its original dimensions. I don't know that it would work for this, though it might.

Here's a place down south that does the metal spraying.

Keep in mind this does not give you back a solid panel like welding in new metal would. It is more of a coating like bondo. The surface needs a good profile for it to bond properly. I saw some finished pieces at the swap meet in Puyallup a few years ago and was impressed with what it did, but is not a replacement for proper metal work.
Good luck!
Here's another forum where they are discussing the pros and cons on the subject, it even concerns a windshield pillar.

Anyone know of any ragtop parts cars anywhere? I think I have to cut it out and replace the part. Pass side is much better and very little rust and easy to fix.

I think 64 to 67 were all the same.

66/67 were different in the drop tops. I may know of a parts car, will give a call and see if it's still around.
