I just want to verify the date. On the website it says the car show is on June 12th?

That's a separate, larger, all makes, show the following day that you have to pay extra for. Ours will be only for us and whomever we invite and sell our discounted tickets to.

Make that 2 cars Pat.
Will you be the point person on this, since you're going and know the lay of the land?
I'll drive this at the club meetings leading up and get you an accurate count on heads and cars by June 4th. It's already on the club calendar.
Should be a fun event!

Sure, except for certain things that I e-mailed you about. A club officer would need to sign the contract for the tickets.

I'm the one who added it to the club calendar. ;)

Mark, it's all in the original post. ;)

So far I see a head count of:
4 Cars
7 Adults
2-3 Children

We're discussing how many tickets to get. We have to get multiples of 50, so I was thinking 100 Adult and 100 Child/Senior tickets should give us plenty to invite all the other Pontiac groups as well. Sound reasonable?

We've talked about inviting POCI, WWF, G8club, Solstice club, perhaps anyone down in the Goat Herd that's interested, and basically anyone else we can think of with Pontiacs they'd like to bring on out.

Yes, but you would have to make sure you had already received your ticket or you'd have to pay full price at the gate.

BTW, I have now posted an invite on ls1tech, lsxnation, ls1gto, and solsticeforum. I have registered at g8board, but apparently they make you wait a while before you can post.

If someone could make sure POCI and WWF get invited, that would be great. I'm not sure who to contact to make that happen.

Yes. If the ticket people tried to direct you to another parking area you would just need to let them know you are with the GTO club.

I've made contact with some of the other boards and it looks like we have definite interest from some of the F-body guys and G8 guys. It looks like the Solstice crowd is dead on arrival, so I'm not expecting much there.

Save 2 tickets for me, just in case I can make it. I'll probably be working on Wally's GTO but if not I'll go. Either way I'll buy 2 adult tickets. Hmm if I put a GTO badge on the van do you think they'll notice? :D

Just tell them the van is a '74 GTO with a camper option. Nobody knows what a '74 looks like so they won't be able to argue.

I expect Milt will post up his pics. Due a variety of issues we only had 10 cars actually show and be able to park with the group. Another one was turned away at the gate around 1:30 in the afternoon. Apparently the Park Rangers have a rule about no motor vehicles inside the park after a certain number of people arrive due to the risk of pedestrian accidents. Those little details would have been good to know ahead of time.

Otherwise, it was great! Jose was there early and called us down for some fresh coffee/chocolate and pastries on the house before we headed over to the park! He's one heck of a great guy. All but one of the people who came stayed 'till 4pm or later. The bands were surprisingly good - and one of the 80's bands came over to get pictures with Jeff's 80's Firebird. They also loved my plates - apparently the drummer's stage name is Goat. :) We got lots of compliments on our cars. People were stopping and checking them out all day long. The sun stayed hidden 'till around 4pm - but that was fine as I got a little sun burned as it was. The hydros were loud and the racing intense. They even had two unlimited turbine hydros there testing boats for Seafair.

Those who missed out, missed a great time.
