Lonnie, AWESOME recap of the historic weekend's festivities!!! Pure Poetic Masterpiece, man.

Sunday Royal Botkin took Jim Wangers, Rob Spelay, Dan Willms, and David Laviolette for a tour of the "city" around Seattle before boarding them on the ferry across to Bainbridge Island. I picked them up at the terminal and we made our way through Banbridge, Poulsbo and finally to the shop. I think everyone enjoyed the tour..........mostly Pontiacs, with a little Mopar and Chevy thrown in. Jim seemed to lock on to Dad's '62 GP and really enjoyed talking about how this car came to be. I couldn't help it and had to fire up the '70 Challenger. The 426 stroker came to life and begged to go for a spin, but it was pouring down rain :-[ Robby got in the '55 gasser and fired the 427 up too! I think he thought he was Bob Falfa for a second :) We wrapped things up and took everyone down to the Bremerton Naval Shipyard, so Jim could check out "Battleship Row." It was awesome to stand in front of the massive aircraft carriers and awe at the sheer size of these beasts. Jim told us the story about being stationed briefly in Bremerton during the end of WW II in 1945. Then we headed for the party, and what a great one it was!!! Thanks for everyone's hard work in putting this whole thing together. Jim thoroughly enjoyed the trip and especially getting to know everyone. I will try and get some pics from David Laviolette on Sunday's tour and post.

Brad, sorry we missed what sounds like a great time, with decent weather to boot! I bet Jim really liked the hospitality too.
