Rubber or Urethane??? Are urethane bushings the way to go on our cars? I would imagine for the suspension that it would be but how about the body mounts? I was going to pick some up last weekend and a local musclecar shop owner indicated (in no uncertain terms) that he doesn't sell them as they are a waste of money and too noisy? I was under the impression it stiffens the ride and improves the handling? What say all?

Urethane suspension bushings are stiffer and improve handling. But, I have heard some people complain about the noise. I guess they squeek very loudly, where as the rubber bushings do not. I don't have them, but I'm sure there are other people that do and could verify this for you. As for the body mounts I would think the same things apply. In fact I wasn't aware you could get urethane body mounts. Learn something everyday!!

I have the urethane bushing on my rear control arms (installed with the grease supplied) and they make no noise at all. I've been told the poly-graphite bushings are the way to go. They are stiff like the urethane, but they supposedly don't ever make any noise. Good luck.

Where would I find the Poly Graphite bushings? That sounds like the way to go. Thanks
