Do any of you guys know what the difference is in the radios from 67 to 68. I am tryin' to replace the stock AM in my 68 with one from Custom Autosound but they only list models for 64-67. I dont want to hack up my dash and I'm not so sure about the Secretaudio system. Any suggestions?!?
Thanx, -Mark

Mark,
*The '67s and earlier came through the dash with a full chrome radio face plate that came through the dash where as the '68 and 9 the dash was the face plate and only the dial and the push buttons shown through. *I have a '68 AM/FM with a '67 face on it. *It will convert back to '68 with the face from another '68 radio. *I've been using it in the plum mist but was about to sell it off but that deal may not go though.
*We can get together on this if you'd like. *I'll show you the differences. *The reason that company may not list a '68 is that the '68 radio didn't come through the dash, only the push buttons did, the dial stays behind. I believe all their radios come through like the earlier ones do.

Will the 67 aftermerket radio fit or will it look bad?

Not in the '68, not without removing some of the dash. And if so, in my opinion, yes, it would look bad, but i'm not into cut dashes. Just my $.02 worth.

I'm with you AL. cutting dashes should be illegal! looks like it's the Secret Audio for me. Thanx, man.
