I was contacted by a developer at Microsoft who designs video games. He's looking for a volunteer to give up 45 minutes of their time. He needs to take a ton of pictures of a 1969 GTO with which he'll design a 3-D model to be used in a racing game.
All he needs is ~45 minutes of your time, and a good area to take photos. He said he'd give you a CD with all the photos on it when he compiles it.
Let me know if anyone's willing, and I'll put you in touch with him.

This is interesting. In my humble opinion, Microsoft should be donating
something to our club for this, if any of the '69 owners are willing to go through with this. They should also "comp" a couple of dozen games when they're done. I bet it's for XBox

I think something could be worked out for a generous donation or microsoft sponsorship (455), since this is a commercial venture.

I'll talk to him about the 455 Package. Ultimately though it would be up to the individual if he/she wants to lend 45 minutes of picture taking. This is not club related, it's just photos of a car.
Also, this is Microsoft, and as such it would be weeks to months of red tape before any sponsorship deal is signed - I just have that feeling after having worked there for a couple years.

Lonnie,
I contacted Todd at MicroSoft today and we are going to get together this weekend to take some pictures of my '69. Since I work for a company that does reverse engineering/CAD, etc, I may be able to have my '69 digitized and then made into a very accurate CAD (Computer-Aided-Design) model. (Those who know what CATIA is know what I'm talking about). We might be able to do some interesting things with this model. Anyway, I will keep you guys informed and make sure I pitch the club and or club website so we get some credit for this whole thing.
Lonnie, thanks again for contacting me. :D

Right on Don! Good luck with the get-together. There was mention that you'd be getting digital copies of the pics - I hope to get a few of those too! ;)
