What I've done is to use a block of 2x4. A piece about 8-12" long works good. From the inside of the car, place the 3.5" width of the 2x4 against the lower edge of the drip molding. I usually start at the rear of the molding and going slowly, give the wood some whacks. It will begin to roll off of the body. Continue slowly along the entire length of the molding. This usually will tear up the wood to some degree so I've had to roll the wood over or end for end to get a fresh piece against the molding.
