More information on our Annual Christmas Party: As we decided before, it will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 5:00 PM at Burien's Bison Creek Pizza which is our normal meeting spot. You can find a map and directions to this spot by clicking here (http://www.northwestlegends.com/joinclub.php). Thanks again Ann Santella for your help securing our party location. The "club meeting" portion will be brief and will kick off promptly at 5:00, followed by the festivities - including our traditional "gag gift exchange". We collectively agreed to cap the limit at $20 or less for each present. Everyone interested in participating in the gag gift exchange, just spend $20 or less on a gift (some kind of funny joke or humorous gift) and enter it in the exchange. The rules of the game will be reviewed that night, but generally speaking everyone gets to pick a wrapped gift, or steal from someone who has already opened a gift. A gift can only be stolen 3 times max - then it stays with the 3rd and final owner. Names will be drawn from a hat to determine the picking order. The rules I have summarized are subject to EXTREME change! ;) Prices for entry to the party are not exact yet - but they appear to be somewhere around $8.00 to $10.00 per plate. The "plate price" will cover everything except alcohol, which will be available but subject to its own price. Entry fees can be collected upon arrival to the banquet - no need to order in advance.
On the menu so far we have both meat and vegetarian lasagna, salad bar, pizza - and pot luck desert. Everyone who wishes to attend is asked to bring some sort of desert.
During the party, we will also vote for the new, 2004 club officers. Below is a list of the current nominees:
