Depends how much coin you want to spend.
You can get 4 new springs from PST, get the Zero Gravity springs & tell the tech rep. on the phone how much higher you want your GTO to sit.
Now if you're looking for the easy quick fix, you can get the front up using spring spacers (auto supply) & get a set of airbags for the rear springs.
That'll get it in the air in an hour.

thanx for the info. i really wanna put bags all around but the rims are to wide and they would hit the body if i droped the car. i also heard those spacers wil fil out some times so i dont think i woud use those. aso i rembered the back does sit up a li higher becouse when i bought the car it had big tires on it so the person i bought it from 2 coils on each side in the back they have them spun in side each other.

Yikes! Four coils on the rear axle?!?!
That's gonna make for a stiff ride and possibly a good recipe for coil bind.
I'd be inclined to spend the cash to get new springs. (assuming I had any...)
Isn't a three inch lift gonna change the front-end geometry?

Hmmmmmm! : How big are the tires, and what is the rim size and backspace? With the right rim, you can fit quite a big tire on your body style, but if the backspace is wrong you will really struggle to get anything of size on the car. Usually a good used set of springs (Kendall) will be enough to get the car high enough, again, with the right rim. Maybe Al would have a better idea what will work, since he has more 67's than Pontiac made.

actualy the ride on the back is not that stiff realy.. the size of the over all tire is like 26 inchs tall i am pretty sure the rims are 20x10. when i mount the rims on the car they are fush with the body and dont stick out but wil not tuck up in the frnder wells. the rims i know they can fit becouse i saw a car with 22 inch rims on it but they cut the rear quartes a litte bit on a 66 i saw. but i dont not want to cut them up so i want to just raise it up. The front fenders i will have to cut like and inch off the bottom of the wheel well.
Welcome to the forum Goatboy ....Yikes, 3 inches is pretty danged high. I have 10 inch wide tread on my '70 on 16x8 wheels and it's lowered about 1.5 inches. 4.5 inch backspacing on the wheels was the trick on my car. You must have some mighty meats there
Ahhh, 20x10 wheels, a rare installation on GTO. Saw a posting/thread at performanceyears.com about this. Believe I even saw a pic of one or two installations of 20 inch diameter wheels, thatsa big ! In person, the largest I've seen is 17s or 18s.
Good luck and post a pic or two when you git them on there!

A little late but didn't you measure before you bought these wheels? On a '67 a 10" rim is a little too wide unless you have a pretty decent backspace. With that said, it depends on how close they are to the lip. I have taken the wheel lip which is about an inch or so wide (the metal lip that holds the chrome lip molding), and taken a die grinder to take some off. You lay a strip of tape all the way around the wheel well underside and follow with the grinder. You will have to alter the molding accordingly if you are running them. The front I did the same.
There are other ways to do theis. The old way is to make a few slices in this lip and fold it under inside. My '67 was done that way in the '70's when the guy wanted L50's out back with Monroe High jacker air shocks.
Man I dont know about raising the car 3-4 inches....Kinda defeats the whole purpose of a bitchin wheel if it looks like a 4x4. Maybe you can take back and exchange for a better offset also. Don;t know the situation, but thought I'd pass along what I have done. Good Luck.

I had set of 4 station wagon springs on my 66. Looked like a 4by4. The car was definitely raised by at least 2 inches and talk about teeth rattling ride. 20's are big, I would've gone 18's the max. Post some pics when done, want to see the bling bling on the 67.
