Congratulations to Marc and Cathy. Also, congrats to Tara and Mike! Lonnie, you mentioned time tables. Is the posting clock 12 hours off? I thought it was still the 10th. I've heard of other time zones, but Seattle isn't half way around the world. What's up?

RR,
thanks for the congrats. I need to adjust the clock too. I saw somewhere that our forum board was on GMT (great mountain time). Somewhere there is an adjustment to change timezones but I can't find it yet. :?:

The default time zone for this message board is GMT - 8 which is pacific standard during daylight savings. But when the message board was converted a few months ago, this may have gotten a little hosed. Click your "Profile" link at the top of this page. Towards the bottom you'll see the time setting. You can change it there. If you're on the west coast, and it's late fall through early spring, then it's GMT-8.
Also if it's cookie-related, see this post (http://northwestlegends.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=833).
Sometimes you just need another beer.

GMT-8? Grennich Mean Time minus 8 hours? That would make sense. I feel so satisfied now. Heh, could I have had a beer instead? Yes, Dear, no beer. Maybe this weekend? I love you too. Thanks, guys.

At our last meeting we discussed hosting a "Car Clinic" at my facility in woodinville. I've got the place for any weekend (Saturday or Sunday) in April. As I indicated we can drive through the warehouse and probably put 20 cars indoors. I can get tables to sdt up to hold tools and parts, we have restrooms, coffee pots and could probably even set up a grill if we wanted.
I have one (1) volunteer to be a tech, and he's a new member. I need some of you other motorheads out there to bring some of this knowledge (along with your tools) to this event. It'll be a great opportunity to get some of the old goats running better, and might even be the event to hold BEFORE the Dyno testing. Might as well get the Goat running right before you subject it to the rigors of the Dyno.
Can I get some more volunteers? Once I get you guys (and girls) lined up, we can start talking it up to the membership. If you know you need help and want to drop me a line as well, we can be sure someone will be there to assist you with your specific issue.
Contact me here, or drop me an e-mail at ddeal@sasco.com or dennyd46@earthlink.net. You can even call me at home @ 425-488-3259, or at my place of work 425-949-4216. Are we on?
Look forward to hearing from you all.

I'm not qualified to be one of your "motorheads" Denny, but I'd assist in any way I could. I think this is an awesome idea, and you have my full support. Count me in for assistance. 8)

Hi Lonnie, I'd like to "nominate" Lara's new 66 for a p.o.w. car. I think you may have a disc of pix of it. She sure likes it. I haven't seen her this excited about a machine since we sold the airplane. It's nice to see her this enthused about something she can enjoy and relax with. On another topic, I've just started on another 65 GTO. It's a PHS documented factory 4sp survivor, numbers car except for the engine. It'll be getting a 428 tripower with enhanced airflow and cooling systems, and getting the "frame-off" full treatment. Car will be original Montaro Red with black interior and pinstripe. Keep the painted side up! RGM

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to nominate a pic-of-the-week. It's one that Mark B. took at the holiday banquet and it's one that screams "busted!"
Mr. Wally Santella..................you're not supposed to "accidentally" stick your finger in the cake after the age of 12............busted!
HAHAHA! Thanks Mark for snapping this one!

It's me again...
Our newsletter is fueled by our members' input and right now we are lacking on input. It sounds like we have a few articles for our next newsletter, but we are looking for specific articles on the history of our members' cars. Does your car have a story that you can share with us?? Keep it clean people!
Would it help if I came up with a "questionaire" about the history of your car? Then we could feature different members' answers in the newsletters. Would people be willing to answer the questions?
We're also looking for tech tips or reviews of products you have used for your cars. It will help all the members for reference when their car has the same issue if they can go to the newsletter or have ready the review.
Thank you to everyone thathas contributed and continues to contribute and to Lonnie for producing such a high-quality product.

Ok guys and gals, it's been two years since this thread was active and we are still in need of articles for the newsletter! Dust off that memory and tell us about your first GTO, or how your GTO changed your life. Tech articles are always nice too. How about a trivia section? Send in your GTO, or Pontiac trivia and when there is enough I will make a section for it. We also have a classified section now for members to place car and parts ads in.
I know, I know, you're thinking to yourself... I don't know how to write an article, or I don't have anything people woud want to read, but you are wrong! Just start writing down your thoughts or memories and keep adding to it, eventually you'll have enough to assemble into an article everyone will want to read. We can help with formatting if you need it, just ask. I can add your pictures, either digital ones, or if you only have prints I can scan to add. No Limits! Don't worry about typos or spelling errors we will correct them.
Alright, I'll get off my soapbox now. Get out the feather duster and dust off that memory!
Thanks!

Mark D has an interesting story about how he got his '67. Wally (and you MarkB) could fill pages with your B&S Shop project. Steve Martin probably has a lot of stories about the cross-country shows he's been to. Someone with some insight and close contact with the Goat Herd should do a write-up on the significance of next year's Tiger Run. One of our regulars here recently broke into a new time bracket with their car - they should write about it.
