Hi Y'all,
I've been running the holley black electric fuel pump for one season now and even though it says "RACE" in a cool way with the noise it makes, I gotta change this sucka. I want, I think, the Mallory. What Mallory should I consider?? This is for a street-strip and overall 5-litre/7-litre spanking application

I had a car in the tens using a Mallory 350. They are good, reliable and quiet. I'm pretty sure the newer ones have an adjustable bypass to return fuel to the tank so you don't have big pressure on the regulator at all times. A 350 should do the job. A 450 or 500 would provide a safety margin (or overkill depending on semantics). As long as you have a quality regulator, there should not be any trouble. Bary Grant also makes good electric fuel pumps.

There is a formula to translate horsepower into requried fuel floe, but I can't seem to locate it right now :x

Hey Bruce, I would talk to Dave and see what he says. I am running the mallory 140 and it's working just fine. I ran the mechanical carter hi-volume pump on the RA-IV engine with a 950 Holley hp and it seemed to feed it just fine. Give the man up north a call, I'm sure he has some good advice.
