Some of you have noticed this, some of you haven't. It's call the "Instant Message". It's built into this forum. It allows you to send a message directly to another forum user. When that forum user logs into the forum, he/she will see thier message indicator at the top of the forum screen - labeled "... you have # messages, # are new".
The instant message indicator is a little subtle - so I added the ability to receive a "popup" and a "sound" to alert you when you have new messages. These options must be set by you. If you click on "Profile" link at the top of the forum page, you can view your profile settings - including the instant message feature. So far I only have one sound loaded, I'll add more later. If you want a message notification sound, you'll need to select that sound in your profile. Also, if you want a message popup to alert you of new messages - check mark that box in your profile as well.
