It's getting there...
Here are some pics of the GTO I bought in november and it's slow return to being cleaned and freshened up. The first two pic's is the condition it was brought back from San Diego in. The car sat for about 5-6 years, so every rubber and cork seal dried out and was leaking. The gas had turned to varnish and the fuel pump was leaking too. So, out came the divetrain. After some sanding and pressure washing and a day that actually hit 70 degrees I was able to paint the engine compartment. Inner fenders, battery tray, brackets, pulleys trans crossmember etc, were all powdercoated %60 gloss black. Looking to drop in the drivetrain in the next 2 weeks with enough shake down to take it to Tiger Run. More to follow...

Here's a pic of the engine compartment with the new power steering box installed. The hose is just installed that way so it doesn't leak fluid everywhere...

Here's a pic of one of the original pushrods with the part number still visible. At least half of them still show this number.

Just waiting for the trans and can then slam this thing home. Thanks to Bob Vidan, Stephan Fafnis and Kevin Reed for the correct power steering numbered pulleys, alternator bracket and power steering box/pump set up. Everything lines up perfectly.

You're going to need to leave the hood off for the Summer "I mean the two weeks in August" just to show off the great work.
