Stuck in a rut!
I joined the Legends in Nov 2001. At that time I lived in Burlington , WA. There were several members of the Legends who lived In the Arlington/Stanwood/Lk Stevens areas as well as Bellingham and North of the Canadian border. Several of the current members remember when Bob Botykins/sp was the President of the Legends. It was a very active club, growing fast. We asked to have club meetings North of Seattle, Everett was suggested. It fell on deaf ears.
If U check your roster I do not believe U have too many members outside of the Puget Sound area. Currently U have members South of Olympia who are asking for a monthly meeting in that direction. Have U thought of having a meeting once in every six month time period outside of the friendly confines of South Seattle. Just wondering.

Not a bad idea. Maybe have a meeting at a function north or south?

Northend would be good, I could cause trouble more easily.

Great idea ...... Maybe once every couple of years the club from British Columbia and the N.W.L. could get togeather. Then some real hell could be raised ..... lol . On a side note the Pontiac meet up here today was very good with a good turnout ...

Club has always been concentrated around the Seattle area but no doubt we should look into activities to get together with our north and south friends more often.
I always look forward to Tiger Run to get together with everyone and the southern folks including the Goat Herders. Seems to be the kickoff. Always looked toward the B.C. action to get together with northern friends a couple times a summer as well. Don't know that club meeting location would make a difference in this case, just need to plan some more events. Had a great time at Tiger Run this year but would have had more fun if it was better attended with the usual suspects. I plan on being in Canada at the Old Times Drags in Mission on July 28/29 - hoping to get a big crew from the usual suspects. We need to work on a plan for replicating BOP. Need something to finalize the summer and have an excuse to get fast Pontiacs and B.S'ers together in September.... Ponsteen - what's up with Renegade? You guys doing any get togethers this summer? I hope to have a busy summer with my Pontiacs and neither of which will include a golf ball or a lawn chair. Let's do this.

Renegade Raceway has Pat Nevues 63 running 9.83s and Bob Charrons 66 GTO runs 10.10s. Both are SD Perf powered. Bob does not want to dip into the 9s and have to deal with the roll cage and all the other SFI requirements. I am now trying to get my 79 Malibu wagon sorted out. Converter slippage at 13%. Motor is blowing through and hitting the digital limiter at 7500. Hits the limiter at 850'. 4 runs made and the converter is back at Hughes for some tightening.
My 64 Tempest wagon will be out for the Vintiques action and also for Bremerton Battle of the Brands. Not as many Pontiacs running this year. A couple Ponchos are running at Spokane since its closer to their homes. One is the 8.98/9.00 runner. Very sweeet car, power is from a traditional Pontiac 400 block with an Eagle crank-rods etc. Ram Air IV heads. Dave Bisschop saw it run at Mission at the Division Team Championships and was impressed. Pat Nevue made it 8 rounds and lost in the finals. Pat and Bob are serious racers. Bob and Patty Camping and their son Brett, from Lynden, will be down to Renegade running their blown 67 silver Pro Street LeMans and 68 Firebird. Brett has ran a couple of times at Mission this summer and took out the PRO points leader in the first round. Both cars are running in the 10s. Dave and I are putting together new power for my 64 wagon or maybe stuff it in a Firebird Trans AM. Legends club members are welcome to attend any of the races. But the Vintiques race is the same group of cars that show at the Good Guys and then race at Pacific Raceways on Fri nite. Renegade breaks up the racing action and has a parade down the track and anyone can drive their car down. The track announcer will give all the info on your car as u do the driving. Should be funny cars and jet cars also. Its a great time. Come on over.

Jim, thanks for the update.
Unfortunately the Good Guys show is the same weekend as Old Time Drags in Mission B.C. I will be attending Old Time Drags most likely. I was looking at the Bremerton schedule and there is a Nostalgia Event and car show on the weekend of 8/25-8/26. Was hoping we could organize some madness - BBQ, bench racing, grudge racing, hangout or something like that to replicate BOP...Brad, you in town??? Would like to check out Renegade sometime - sounds like a great track. Need to get the crew together so we're all in for some fun, whether racing or just hanging in the pits. Might hit that Vintage event in Bremerton middle if I am in town, usually go to Seafair but would like to just check out the cool cars. I know the club is putting on a Ribs BBQ cruise to Mud Mountain Dam, a Hood Canal Cruise, and the famed Musclecar Meet at XXX Drive in, all in the next 60 days or so. Hopefully we can figure out some sort of a grand finale in September. Okay, enough jibberish from me....

Did anyone notice the Goat Heard posted on there website about the changes for Tiger Run next year. Moving to the Riverhouse motel in Bend and first weekend in June. These are great moves as the Riverhouse will bring back what the Riverside was and what Eaglecrest had lost. Also the weather is always better right after memorial weekend.
