Pontiac Picnic in the Park 2012

I'm taking rib orders for the picnic again. PM your order and contact info so I can get a head count. The price should be about the same as last year depending on pork prices at the time of purchase.

I just got pricing on the ribs. The price went down this year, imagine that! $6 per half rack! I need to know by the the next meeting on the 7th of July. You can PM your order or if you have my number, call me. You can also place your order at the meeting.

Bringing it up to the top! Going to be nice weather, perfect for a cruise and a relaxing day with a bunch of Pontiacs! We are bringing 2 small grills and charcoal for one of the park grills if you want to cook something. Plenty of stuff for the kids to play on. Warm up your horseshoe arm, I hear there is going to be a challenger. Open to ALL Pontiacs!

I just about have the GTO ready for the road again. I'm hoping I can manage the final touches and test drive tonight. We are in town this weekend and would love to make it to the picnic. I was just wondering where the non Pontiacs need to be parked in relationship to the Pontiacs. My GTO has a couple years of built up garage dust so I'm trying to decide weather to bring a dirty ol' goat or the '64 Custom cab Chev (which is much cleaner).

We hope to make it there to do some catching up!

We have the large cabana to ourselves and the Pontiacs park on the grass side. There is a parking lot right in front of the cabana for others, although we probably won't mind if you park with the Pontiacs. That being said, bring the GTO, there is no competition and we would love to see another GTO no matter what the condition. I'm bringing my 72 Grand Prix and is is far far far from "show" worthy, but it's a driving project in progress.

About 5 miles out of Enumclaw my oil pressure light came on. I shut it off and checked the oil - it was full. Re-started it, there was no engine clatter so I concluded it was the sending unit. Replaced it this morning and all is good.

On a good note we had 32 cars this year. With the weather the way it was in the morning and forecasts of scattered showers I thought we would have a poor turn out. I think with better early weather a few more might have showed up. I liked what weather we had, not too hot, no rain, and no wind. All in all a great day!

Thanks everyone that showed up to support this club event!

POCI and Western Washington Firebirds made a great showing too. That was great to see, and the NW Legends appreciate your support.
