Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(February 4, 2023)
MEETING OPENED:
Meeting called to order at 6:05pm by our President, Bill Nelson at Amante Pizza and Pasta, in Kent, WA.
ATTENDANCE:
The meeting total attendance was 23.
GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
No guests and no new members attended this Club Meeting.
SECRETARY’S REPORT:
Bob Stevenson read a condensed version of the January club meeting minutes.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Tom Willett read the treasurer’s report.
CORRESPONDENCE:
Bill Nelson reported that there was no correspondence received recently.
GUEST SPEAKER OF THE MONTH:
There was no guest speaker.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Wally Santella discussed in detail the event plan and the volunteer duties for Tigers on the Columbia this year. One of the challenges will be that the show field is 6 miles from the hotel this year. This will make the schedule tight as far as wrapping up the show on Saturday afternoon and getting everything ready for the awards banquet that evening. To allow enough time, the banquet will start at 5:30pm. Ted Knapp discussed how registration will work at the convention center on Friday, then it will move to the show field at Rocky Reach dam on Saturday morning. Because the volunteers will need to arrive and set up at the show field prior to it opening, their names will be on a list at the gate to Rocky Reach Dam Park which will allow them entry into the park early.
OLD BUSINESS:
Bill Nelson thanked David and Melinda Gale for their superior work on the newsletter.
NEW BUSINESS:
There was no new business.
2023 Event schedule:
Tigers on the Columbia: May 25-28 in Wenatchee
Muscle Car Show at Griot’s: June 25
Muscle Car Meet at XXX: Aug 6
Picnic at Ted’s: Aug 19.
50/50 RAFFLE: Gary Tischer collected $105 for the raffle, which was split in half between the club and the winner, Richard Davis.
SHOP TALK: Wally and several others discussed projects they are working on.
MEETING ADJOURNED:
The club’s business meeting adjourned at 7:20pm by our President, Bill Nelson. The next club meeting will be Saturday, March 4th at 6:00pm at Amante Pizza and Pasta, 21020 84th Ave South, Kent, WA.
