Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(February 7, 2026)
MEETING OPENED:
Meeting called to order at 6:20pm by our President, Bill Nelson at Round Table Pizza in Burien, WA.
ATTENDANCE:
The meeting total attendance was 11.
GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
No guests and no new members attended this Club Meeting.
SECRETARY’S REPORT:
Bob Stevenson reported that since there was no January meeting, there were no minutes to report.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Tom Willett read the treasurer’s report. Tom reminded members that using Stripe to collect dues and event registrations costs the club an average of 3.6%.
CORRESPONDENCE:
No correspondence this month.
GUEST SPEAKER OF THE MONTH:
There was no guest speaker.
OLD BUSINESS:
Jim Braden requested that the Board review scholarships for this year. Wally is keeping track of member spending at Warren Secord Automotive, in hopes of getting a sponsorship from Bill Winans.
NEW BUSINESS:
Memorial for Casey Forsythe is Feb 28th. Open Bay Garage in Tukwila may be a possibility for future club meetings. There is no charge for the space, it’s open from 10-9. The downside is we would have to bring in our own food. Bob reported that he and Jim Braden will be going to the Salem Roadster Show February 26th-28th in Salem, OR. They will have a lineup of every year of GTO in this year’s show. It is by invitation only, and you can only enter your car once in its lifetime. A benefit of attending is the opportunity to visit The Brothers Collection of cars. Bob also received a quote of $2200 per car to transport them to the GTOAA convention in Loveland, CO.
EVENT COMMITTEE:
Ted and Wally provided tentative details about the upcoming Dalles event, Pontiacs on the Columbia for members to do their own planning on when to arrive. Thursday, we will unload Ted’s trailer and pick up tables and chairs. Friday, registration is open from 12-3:30; the Neon Sign museum will have music from 6-8, the museum will be open for tours 6-8, food truck starts at 5:00. Saturday, show is 8-3:30; banquet at the hotel cocktails at 5:30, dinner 6:30, awards 7:30. Sunday, sternwheeler boards at 10:45 and sails at 11 for those that sign up; WAAM tour will leave hotel at 10:30, preorder lunch at Big Jim’s in Hood River; dinner reservations at Portage Grill for those that stay Sunday night. Convoys will head to The Dalles on Thursday and Friday, with a lunch stop at Bridge of the Gods. Paul and Jill Kline will handle the raffle this year.
50/50 RAFFLE: No raffle this month.
SHOP TALK: No shop talk this month.
MEETING ADJOURNED:
The club’s business meeting was adjourned at 8:15pm by our President, Bill Nelson. The next club meeting will be on Saturday, March 3rd at 6:00pm at Round Table Pizza, 15730 1st Ave South, Burien, WA.
