COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Ted Knapp gave a report on the upcoming Tigers on the Columbia event. The host hotel is the Coast Hotel in Wenatchee at $144 per night. We have use of a private parking lot Thursday – Sunday that will allow access only to attendees. Registration will be in the Convention Center on Friday and at the event grounds at Rocky Reach Dam on Saturday. A cruise on Friday will be led by a local member ending at the Hot Rod Cafe in Monitor, WA. Local clubs gather there on Friday nights and can see as many as 100 cars. There is a large field for parking at the cafe. A discussion was held regarding the meal choice at the Saturday banquet and a vote determined that we would offer fish, chicken and pork since the cost of the steak was felt to be too high. Sunday has two choices of activities, either a cruise on Lake Chelan or a trip to Leavenworth. Both of these can be done using the free public transportation. Wally Santella reported that the t-shirt design would be similar to last year’s, with a logo on the front and special marking mentioning Wenatchee. A discussion regarding award types was held, with examples shown of three types, and it was decided by a vote to use plaques printed in color using sublimation.

 OLD BUSINESS:

Bill Nelson asked for any new nominations for club officers for 2023. A motion was made to elect the current slate of officers for this year and the vote passed.

Bob Stevenson presented David and Melinda Gates with the Old Cars Magazine Golden Quill award, which was awarded to the club for our excellent newsletter in 2021. The award was actually received in early 2022, but the physical award was not received until December of 2022.
