DONATIONS SUBCOMMITTEE –
Tom Willett asked Wally Santella send him a formal email, requesting that Tom make donations of $250 each to the LEO (Life Enrichment Options) and Army Fisher Houses organizations.  This action resulted from the Memberships approval of Wally Santella’s motion (at the August 2018 Club Meeting) to continue to provide these two organizations this year with the same yearly donations as we have done in the past few years.

2018 TIGERS ON THE COLUMBIA (TOTC) –

OLD BUSINESS:

NEW BUSINESS:
(1) Wally Santella provided an update to the membership on our current Club membership count as a result of the recruiting effort at this year’s 2018 Tigers on the Columbia event.  Denny Deal, the GTOAA Chapter Coordinator, who has joined us at this event again this year, recruited new members for both organizations, based on our joint plan that offers interested event participants who establish or renew their GTOAA membership to receive a year’s free membership in the NW GTO Legends at the same time.  This year’s effort resulted in adding 8 new members for a total of 105 “active” members in th4 NW GTO Legends Club.
(2) Wally Santella gave an overview to the attending membership of the Club’s new G-Man Club Management System.  The G-Man system is scheduled to replace the Showtime system that we have been using for the last 7 years at our 6th Annual NW American Muscle Car Show on September 8th, at Griot’s Garage this year.  The overview was designed to introduce G-Man to the attending membership, by providing a summary of its benefits to our Club’s goals and activities, including support for managing our muscle car shows and membership dues renewal with online credit card processing, vendor and sponsor management with it’s automated invoicing system, and it’s support for mass-emailing correspondence to help with our marketing communications to further support our car show event participation goals.
(3)
Bill Nelson suggested to the attending members that we consider having one or more of out summer Club meetings next year as an outdoor picnic type meeting to attract more of the membership to attend our Club meetings.

SHOP TALK:
– Stephen Martin talked about the 66 GTO Convertible that he inherited from his friend, “Big Jim”  Steve brought the car to his meeting and members checked it out before and after the meeting.  It’s appears to be in very nice condition and Steve suggests that he would consider selling it for $25,000.

50/50 RAFFLE:
Tom Willett won the 50/50 Raffle, keeping $29 and $29 went to the Club coffers.

MEETING ADJORNED:
The club’s business meeting adjourned at 7:30pm by our President, Ted Knapp.  Our next meeting will be at the Round Table Pizza in Burien on October 6th, 2018, at 6:00pm.
