Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(May 7, 2022) 

 MEETING OPENED:

Meeting called to order at 6:10pm by our President, Bill Nelson at Roundtable Pizza, in Burien, WA. 

ATTENDANCE:
The April Club Meeting was attended by 25 members. 

GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
No guests or new members attended this Club Meeting.  

SECRETARY’S REPORT:
Bob Stevenson read the secretary’s report which included reading of the minutes from the March and April meetings. 

TREASURER’S REPORT:
Tom Willett read the treasurer’s report. The report was accepted as presented.  

CORRESPONDENCE:
Bill Nelson reported that there was no correspondence received recently. 

GUEST SPEAKER OF THE MONTH:
There was no guest speaker for the month of May. 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  

Tigers on the Columbia – Wally reported that 68 registrations have been received, with 60 cars. The Holiday Inn has 43 guests booked so far, 9 of which are not registered for the event. The Riverfront Hotel has 14 reservations. For the cruise home from Richland, 27 have signed up, with 17 going on the Goose Ridge Winery cruise. There will be a cruise to the show leaving Thursday morning. It will meet at 9:30am, get to Ellensburg for lunch by noon and arrive in Richland by 3-3:30. Veterans and fallen military members will be saluted with a trumpet at the show on Saturday.  Ted Knapp talked about the Tigers show in Wenatchee in 2023. The Coast Hotel and Wenatchee Convention Center are now under contract for Memorial Day weekend 2023.

Puget Sound POCI clubWally and Ted met with the President and they agreed to encourage participation in Tigers on the Columbia if we open up more classes for full-sized Pontiacs. There are now 4 new classes for these cars. Their club currently has 67 members.

OLD BUSINESS:

Bill Nelson agreed to call Bob Weiss about the availability of Merrill Gardens as a possible venue for this year’s Christmas party.

NEW BUSINESS:

Bill Nelson discussed the article in the GTOAA Legends magazine that discusses national convention locations.

50/50 RAFFLE:   Jim Braden won $52 and $52 went to the club.

The club’s business meeting adjourned at 8:15pm by our President, Bill Nelson. Our next business meeting will be at the Round Table Pizza in Burien on June 4th.
