 MEETING OPENED:

Meeting called to order at 6:14pm by our President, Bill Nelson at Amante Pizza and Pasta, in Kent, WA.

ATTENDANCE:
The meeting total attendance was 25.

GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
No guests and no new members attended this Club Meeting.

SECRETARY’S REPORT:
Minutes were not available for the March meeting. Bill Nelson mentioned a couple of topics that were discussed.

TREASURER’S REPORT:
Tom Willett read the treasurer’s report.

CORRESPONDENCE:
The club received an email from Open Bay Garage in Tukwila and an email from the Inland Empire Pontiac club in Spokane. The Pontiac club asked if we wanted information on their car show August 24th and also mentioned that they have attended Tigers on the Columbia events in the past and plan to attend this year.

GUEST SPEAKER OF THE MONTH:
There was no guest speaker.

OLD BUSINESS:

Bill gave an update on this year’s Holiday Party at the Museum of Flight. Bill stressed that this is a one-time event to recognize all of the hard work club members have put in to make the club successful. This event will cost the club $50 per person and will also cost the members $50 each to attend. Access to the museum all day and the in-house catered meal is included with the price.

Bill and Wally talked about our club sponsors and stressed that if we need work done on our cars to support them, since they support us. Warren Secord Automotive was specifically mentioned, and should be followed up as a sponsor, since they have expressed interest in being one.

Jim Brusse talked about his “drive in” cruise at his house in Gig Harbor on Saturday, June 21st. This is going to be a “Solstice” party, in celebration of the Summer Solstice date. The Firebird club is hosting an event the same day for the 35th anniversary.

 NEW BUSINESS:

Tom Willet reported that he received two Pyle brand Bluetooth speakers to be used for the PA at our events. These will save us money vs renting the equipment each time.

Bill reported that the POCI meeting will be held at Amante Pizza on April 10th and he plans to attend and invite them to Tigers. We would love to have them bring their full size Pontiacs to the event. We have made awards for their car classes every year and have not had any cars entered, which wastes resources. This will be the last year we have separate classes for large Pontiacs if we don’t get any registrations.

EVENT COMMITTEE:

Ted, Wally and Bill reviewed the club’s plans for this year’s Tigers on the Columbia event which will be held in Wenatchee. We have 19 registrations so far. Wally discussed the volunteer assignments and the Event Plan. Kelly Lay will attend from the GTOAA.

Ted talked about the 2026 Tigers event tentatively scheduled for The Dalles. The event would be at the riverside park. Since Richland is reserved at this time for 2026, if we decide to change to The Dalles we will have to notify Richland by July 1st. Bob made a motion to pursue having the Tigers event at The Dalles in 2026 and direct the Events Committee to do all research into securing the venue and give a report next month. The motion was seconded and approved. Ted and others will visit The Dalles and research the venue.

50/50 RAFFLE:    No raffle this month.

SHOP TALK: Several offered stories. Bob mentioned the Open Bay Garage and the Brazils provided details of their visit to the facility. Fred plans to take his car there and inspect the undercarriage on one of their lifts. You can reserve a half hour to do this.

MEETING ADJOURNED:
